GEORGE C. DAHLMAN, CEO
As the Chief Executive Officer of Children’s Cause for Cancer Advocacy, George is responsible for the strategic management and operations of the nation’s preeminent childhood cancer policy organization.
George identifies and advances issues that will improve the treatment and lives of childhood cancer patients and their families with Congress, the Administration, federal agencies and state governments. He is also responsible for ensuring that families have the opportunity to participate as advocates in the policy process.
Prior to joining Children’s Cause, George was Executive Vice President for Federal Affairs & Operations for the National Patient Advocate Foundation and from 2000 to 2012 was Senior Vice President of Public Policy for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, where he was responsible for composing, representing and directing the Society's federal and state public policy positions and for building and managing a nationwide advocacy network.

Charlcie Steuble | Digital Marketing Director
Charlcie is responsible for managing all aspects of CCCA's fundraising and development campaigns, from planning and design through execution. This includes managing and growing Children’s Cause online fundraising and engagement program, designing and implementing e-marketing and social network fundraising activity as well as development planning, foundation sponsorship, grants, events, and donor stewardship.
Charlcie is the parent of three adult children and works full-time out of the Washington, DC, office. She lives in Maryland with her husband and enjoys Washington Nationals baseball.
Before joining Children’s Cause, Charlcie was Associate Director for Digital Marketing & Development for the Paralyzed Veteran of America where she managed electronic marketing and communications programs. Charlcie brings to CCCA an expertise in childhood cancer, managing communications and social media for CureSearch National Childhood Cancer Foundation, and as Educational Programs Administrator for the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Jessica Kean | Director of Communications
As Director of Communications, Jess is responsible for managing all aspects of CCCA communications outreach with advocates, families, caregivers and community partners. With more than 10 years of experience at Children’s Cause, Jess manages the CCCA brand, including policy communications and grassroots alerts to childhood cancer advocates, organizational messaging, web site content, social media campaigns, webinar, blog and newsletter production, volunteer engagement and graphic design. Jess also serves on the Board of the Coalition Against Childhood Cancer, a community of family foundations dedicated to collaborative programs on childhood cancer.
Jess works part-time out of her home office in Maquoketa, Iowa, where she serves as City Councilwoman while raising her two small children.

Julie Taylor | T-K Consulting, Inc.
An integral part of the CCCA team, Julie Taylor of T-K Consulting provides project support for CCCA programs and initiatives, including coordination of professional conferences, institutional relationship management, organizational administration and Board support.
Julie brings to CCCA a breadth of experience from the American Society of Clinical Oncology, where she worked for many years in cancer research policy and clinical practice issues, most recently as Director of Cancer Policy. Julie also provides project management support for numerous clients in the cancer community.

Sue Emmer | Emmer Consulting
As Policy Counsel to Children’s Cause, Sue Emmer provides strategic advice and support on federal cancer policy, representing CCCA with Congress and administrative agencies, including the National Cancer Institute, Food and Drug Administration and health policy institutions.
With over thirty years of expertise in national health policy, including stints working on Capitol Hill and for the Department of Health and Human Services, Sue offers guidance in the development of the CCCA policy agenda, works with Congressional staff to implement the agenda, and coordinates strategic communications with policy-makers, health care coalitions and professional associations. Sue has operated her health policy practice for twenty years; for the past 7 years she has partnered with her husband in building a larger policy shop.
