4 Ways to Give
As you wrap up year-end giving, we'd like to share with you some different ways to support the Children's Cause beyond a one-time donation. You should know that 80% of every donation is spent directly on advocacy and education programs, so no matter how you decide to support us, you know it's going to good use.
1. Join our Monthly Giving Program to sustain our advocates all year long. Your monthly gift will go a long way as our advocates face tough policy issues in 2014.
2. Participate in workplace giving. The Combined Federal Campaign is the largest workplace giving campaign in the world. Federal employees in the National Capital Area can designate CCCA (CFC# 71422) as one of their benefiting charities. Due to the government shutdown this fall, the campaign has been extended until Jan. 15th 2014!
If you're not a federal employee, ask your employer if they have their own giving campaign or if they will match your gifts to double your impact.
3. Donate your Car, truck, boat or other vehicle to the Children's Cause through C.A.R.S. They will take your trusted old car off your hands for free and part of the sale goes directly to support our advocacy work.
4. All year long, GoodSearch (and GoodShop and GoodDining etc.) gives 1 cent to CCCA for every internet search on their search engine. Think about how many times you go to Google for answers - use Goodsearch instead and you'll be racking up the dollars for childhood cancer advocacy. Goodshop allows major retailers online to donate a percentage of your purchase to CCCA. Get started with your own account and make sure to select the Children's Cause for Cancer Advocacy as your benefiting charity.
