The Children's Cause for Cancer Advocacy has a new Director of Public Policy! Amy Fisher Haddad joined CCCA's team this week to help lead our policy initiatives on research, health care, and services for children with cancer and survivors. She will work closely with Members of Congress and their staff, federal and state agencies, other childhood cancer organizations and advocates to help advance policies that address the unique needs of kids in treatment, survivors and their families.
Amy has years of experience on Capitol Hill working with Members of Congress on health care policy and other issues. She brings with her a deep understanding of advocacy on Capitol Hill, particularly related to cancer care having served as health care legislative assistant for Rep. Lois Capps, co-chair of the House Cancer Caucus.
Amy returned to the Washington, DC area this summer, after two years abroad working to better equip advocate leaders on complicated issues related to peace and security.
We are honored to have Amy working with us to advocate for better treatments and care for children with cancer, survivors and their families.
