All week, we've been sharing ways that you can #StepUp to spread the message that childhood cancer research needs more federal funding, as part of a community-wide campaign leading into Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. As Congress prepares to return to Washington from August recess, with budget battles heating up and the election season upon us, there's no better time than today to ask our Congressional representatives - and their November opponents - if they are willing to #StepUp for our kids.
Here are a few ways you can #StepUp now to help create change:
- Educate your family, friends, and Congress about the need.
- Share a #StepUpSelfie that shows your advocacy in action (like ours pictured here!). Share it on social media to create awareness and inspire others to #StepUp, too.
- Tweet at your Members of Congress: Use the SoundOff platform to make it easy!
- Brainstorm your #StepUpPledge: Tomorrow, we'll share our #StepUpPledge that commits to making an impact during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. We'll ask all of you to create and share your own unique, action-oriented pledge for how you'll raise awareness around the need for increased childhood cancer funding this September.
Thank you for taking a "step up" with us to create change!
