"Someone has to be their voice."

Family attending the 2013 Childhood Cancer Action Day, hosted by the Alliance for Childhood Cancer in June Last week, we launched an action alert to garner support for the Caroline Pryce Walker Conquer Childhood Cancer Reauthorization Act (H.R.2607/S.1251). So far, over 125 childhood cancer advocates have participated in our action alert around this bill by sending letters to their Members of Congress. Thank you!

Among the many powerful comments sent to Congress, here's one from a grandparent from North Carolina:

"January 6, 2009 is the day my two-year-old grandson earned his wings. He lost his year-long battle against Neuroblastoma. I cannot begin to tell you how devastated I was and still am today ... The treatment my grandson received was the best in the world. It just wasn't made for children. I have been an advocate since his diagnosis and will remain so until the day I die. Someone has to be their voice. I hope you will be one, too. Please support H.R. 2607 and give our children and their families hope in the future. Thank you."
